The 'definition' of a project means different things to different people. As it happens, a project is different things to different people. This is why we leave the definition and scope of a project to our clients. We do suggest alternatives and may help define an approach - but ultimately it is our clients who determine what is best for their business.

We also recognize that a number of solutions are suggested and developed based on the expertise of a vendor or the comfort level of a client with a certain technology. Although this approach may result in a good solution in some cases, the approach itself is flawed.

We believe that technology exists to provide us with tools. Our job is to select the best tool for a job and use it efficiently. Our - or our client's for that matter - dexterity with a set of tools should never be the basis for a solution. This is why we take great pains to help our clients define a project in a way that highlights the expectations from a system and ensures a solution that solves the problem it was intended to solve.
